Job Description

As an Electrical Technician, you will support the operation, inspection and maintenance of electrical systems within the assigned facility. You will perform routine checks, assist with troubleshooting and help maintain safe and reliable electrical operations.

• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
• Check electrical panels, distribution boards and related equipment.
• Monitor electrical equipment for abnormal conditions.
• Identify electrical faults and report technical issues.
• Carry out routine electrical maintenance activities.
• Support preventive maintenance of electrical systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.
• Check lighting systems, switches, sockets and related installations.
• Maintain electrical maintenance records and service reports.
• Coordinate with the technical supervisor for major maintenance requirements.
• Follow approved maintenance procedures and safety practices.
• Use appropriate tools and personal protective equipment.
• Support emergency electrical maintenance requirements when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical or related technical qualification.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and building maintenance.
• Practical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Understanding of electrical safety practices.
• Ability to read basic electrical diagrams is an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant facility maintenance experience will be preferred.
